YESTERDAY WATERFORD AND Cork squared off in a thrilling All Ireland hurling semi-final that saw the Déise beat the Rebels by eleven points to progress to their first All Ireland final since 2008.

Hundreds of supporters gathered in the Apple Market in Waterford City to watch the match. Once the final whistle blew, the crowd broke out into a rendition of Journey’s Don’t Stop Believing, which has been Waterford’s unofficial anthem since their All Ireland campaign in 2008 and there were absolute scenes.

Rigney Dolphin, a call centre in Waterford, shared a video of the crowd singing and wrote, “Waterford fans singing Don’t Stop Believing. What scenes. What a city.”
